# Empatica Manager does not recognize my E4 wristband
1. Try using a different USB cable and port
2. Try different E4 charger/holder (if available)
3. Make sure the device is not connected through a USB hub and is connected directly to the built-in USB port
4. Reinstall the drivers:
* Close Empatica Manager
* Then open the attached file [E4_Win_Drivers.zip](uploads/91bdc5fdac29c4f1f03bd4e616442218/E4_Win_Drivers.zip), unzip all the files and run them:
* DPInstx64.exe (if you have a 64bit architecture)
* DPInstx86.exe (if you have a 32bit architecture)
* A command prompt with the result of the installation will pop up
* Make sure that the E4s are plugged in and turned ON and that they appear in the section "Ports(COM & LPT)" as "Bluegiga Bluetooth Low Energy" device in the device manager (Start → run → devmgmt.msc)
